List Of Things That Does Not Work on Dell Inspiron N5110

So now you know things that do work its time to know what does not work and the glitches that you might face after installation:

the first thing is Nvidia 525GT.

Why is that so??

errr.. Mac had changed contract with ATi .So if u must have noticed the 2011 and above based macbook pros,iMac 's are equipped with ATi graphics cards.So the last seen Nvidia Graphics card as far as my knowledge is concerned is Nvidia 330M that came with arrandele Intel chipsets that is  MacBookPro6,1.

So things have changed a lot since Nvidia is fighting back to win its glorious position as the no.1 contender to Ati :) they brought in new technologies that would save battery life more battery life more mobility called as NVIDIA® Optimus™ technology without losing graphics abilities.

Q.what is NVIDIA® Optimus™ technology.?

In layman's terms is like having a ball point pen and a regular ink pen :) both have the same purpose: to write but are used at different places :). The new intel i CORE series comes with intel 3000 graphics card.Nvidia intelligently used intel's switchable graphics technology that came back in the 2010 which made a buzz and their graphics card to make them work simultaneously as partners :-).what i mean to say is that when there is no need of extreme graphical inputs for example working with photoshop,video editing high end gaming nvidia goes to sleep mode and intel 3000 does it job and when the need arises nvidia jumps back to action.

Q.Why do i need to know this ?

well mac book pros are not equipped with Nvidia Cards with NVIDIA® Optimus™ technology. So developers for the hackintosh community have hard time trying to figure out how to make this technology work :( unless Apple comes out with macs with this technology there are slim chances that Nvidia cards might work.the downside is that reduced graphics perfomance and intel 3000 cannot take the full load as it is not designed to take extreme loads..
this in turn make Lion os x slow and sometimes freezes.U can move the mouse but there is no way to close a program for example.

Webcam:

For some webcam works natively for some it does n t work like me :( so i am forced to make skype calls using windows.well i am dualbooting :) i enjoy both worlds the mac and windows on the same laptop i call it dellintosh :) 

Ethernet:

i have not tested it so i am not sure its working or not.but there is reduced speed while using it as i read..

Wifi:

If you have intel or intel wimax its will not work :( there is no work around for this one.

HDMI port:

i have not tested this but it should work.
